Ram Gopal Varma goes React On Against Barack And Michelle Obama
Ram Gopal Varma is often in the news for his controversial remarks on Twitter. The filmmaker has done it again and this time, he has reached a new low. Hours after Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of United States of America on Wednesday, RGV took to Twitter to state how he had predicted Trump's victory 4 months ago. He also lauded American citizens for electing a President who is in his sixties and is "honest". Not just that, he went a step further and predicted that Trump will be the greatest President ever - in his words, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy will be "forgotten".
If that was shocking for you, there was more to follow. The tweets quickly took a racist turn when Ramu began attacking the incumbent President Barack Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama. One of his tweets read, "Obama's and Michelle Obama's faces must have turned blacker than this with today's trumping result". Not one to stop at that, Ramu further posted a picture each of Michelle Obama and Melania Trump and wrote, "For some reason I like the present First Lady much more than the previous...can anyone tell me why?" He even passed a sexist comment on Melania Trump as he tweeted, "US gets its hottest 1st Lady since all wives of presidents starting from George Washington...1002 kisses to Trump for making America greater."
